so, fall has fallen and in celebration of this yearly event, we make food with pumpkin in it. i purchased a small sugar pumpkin for decoration, but being as i hate things that sit around with no real purpose other than creating a need for dusting, this will be it for decoration of any kind. following the pumpkin purchase, i bought a can of solid pack pumpkin and a can of pumpkin pie filling and went home to make pumpkin spice bread and pumpkin pie with the help of dylan and leo. to any skeptic who claims that using canned pumpkin isn’t as good, i dare you to see if you can tell the difference and i saved myself about three hours worth of work. my bread turned out amazing and despite the fact that our pie crust shrank a little when we blind baked it, the pie was amazing too. delicious goodies.
