parid chose today as the big day for roto-tilling his entire lawn and removing berries from his big planter box in his back yard…a complete front/back yard overhaul. llamas gathered early in the morning and in true llama style by five o’clock we had thrice roto-tilled the entire lawn (front and back), weeded every flower bed in sight, annihilated the berries and dug all of the roots, replanted the planter box with new and improved “hard-to-kill” plants, spread bark-mulch in all the planters and flower beds, raked and cleaned the lawn dirt of rocks, trimmed the most gigantic juniper hedge there ever was, repaired the fence, hosed off the mud from the lawn dirt and cleaned up our mess. by five-thirty we were eating delicious chinese food, drinking beer and watching florida beat ucla by virtue of biased refereeing.

my job was to obliterate the berry bushes with the greatest garden tool ever…the machete. yes, that’s right, i used a machete to get rid of the awful berry bushes. susan 1; berry bushes 0. while i lady-hacks-away-ed the berries, waterseek weeded all of the flower beds (hooray for OCD), cwap trimmed the juniper hedge into a crazy spiral form and the rest of the llamas tilled with the giant tiller machine and raked the dirt for rocks. all that remains for another day is to finish raking the back yard and then actually seed the new grass. llamas for the win.

  1. Llamas and OCD for the win. Susan failed to mention that she taught me how to use my sewing machine to make curtains for our bare windows. Yay OCD!
