so today was my first day back at school, and my first day back at the bookstore. I will start with the bookstore…
it only took about 30 minutes before it all came screaming back to me. i had forgotten about that part of working at the bookstore where time starts to actually move backwards and then you die a little bit inside. oh well, it’s decent pay (tho still slave wages) for a fairly mindless job.
the school was quite non-academic as well. today was my first “music for teachers” class…if i had any dignity this morning, it’s gone now. any class that requires participation in both in-class sing alongs and dancing should not be required three days a week, nor should it be held before the bars open. also the professor’s face is half frozen; maybe it was too much dancing.
tomorrow is an even longer day (8-8 with no breaks and followed by homework). better be off to bed soon.

EDIT: “So today was both good and bad. I should start with the good because the bad is pretty heavy and sad. The good thing about today was the 15.2 miles. Rachel and I completely rocked it. Two hours and fifty one minutes. OH. HELL. YES.
We also had some Cafe Sienna in celebration and a trip to REI.

The bad is pretty bad. I found out today that one of my dearest friend’s dad has an in-operable brain tumor. The man has known me for almost twenty years. His kids and I went to high school together. He and his wife traveled all the way to Oregon for my wedding. And now he might die. Holy shit.” :EDIT
