i am officially a student again.
this morning when i thought about the university and how annoying they were being, the only thing that came to mind was “susan smash!! rrraaagghegeragedbjkge”. but now thanks to alex, everything is in order and i have finally registered. hooray for homework! also i noticed that my student record officially states that effective fall 2006 my student status is officially masters/graduate which means i was accepted to the GET program. and i got a sweet card from my boss this morning wishing me good luck in school and also that she hopes i will be returning to the district soon, but as a teacher/specialist. all good things…now to buy school supplies (pencils, pens and paper; oh my!). the only thing left standing between me and academic life is that pesky financial aid. i guess that will have to wait until tomorrow.

yesterday i discovered the world of loan refinancing. the idea that you can take two loans and make them into one with a lower interest rate and lower monthly payment (saving nearly $200/month now) and still pay everything off in the same amount of time is intoxicating. it’s starting to look like dylan and i may actually be able to buy a house sometime in the next bazillion years.
