So, I just got back from NYC and it was the best trip ever. Partly because we got to stay with Dylan’s aunt, Jenny, in her sweet house in Spanish Harlem and partly because of the spontaneous excess of Dave Matthews Band (see above setlists to know the hotness that was the NYC leg of the winter tour). The Friday night show was amazing; our seats were behind the stage and very close in, a new perspective. The whole arena was singing along and the vibe was amazing. We left thinking that it was the best show we’d ever seen and we decided to scalp some tickets for Saturday night’s show. After successfully procuring tickets for Saturday evening, we had high expectations. Little did we know that we were in for the night of our lives; it was basically my dream setlist, opening with my favorite song “Rapunzel” and ending with “Halloween” in a confetti cloud of a good time. Oh my holy crap was it a mind-blowing good time.
On Sunday, we saw “The Producers” which was fantastic and I can’t wait for it to be out in the theaters. The rest of our time was spent being amazed by the city and of course doing some shopping. New York was not what I expected at all. It is very user friendly and we only ran into one mean New Yorker the whole time we were there. All in all it was a fantastic experience and I would do it again in a heartbeat.
Now I am just trying to recover from six days of continuous motion and tomorrow it’s back to work. I should have pictures to post up here soon.
In other news, I am still waiting to hear from Springfield HS. Hopefully I will hear something before Friday. Keep your fingers crossed!
