so once again, i have a bathroom story. this one i hope will be short and sweet. same student, strangely an exact repeat of yesterday morning (a separate incident from the naked incident). every morning our students have to brush their teeth and go to the bathroom. it’s part of our daily routine that helps to stabilize the lives of our little ones. so, we’ve sent the kids to the bathroom and i go to check on them. two of them are fine and doing their thing but the other is just standing there. “brush your teeth and go to the bathroom” i said. these words, as anyone in special ed can tell you, can be deadly. thus, in reverse order, my student complied exactly with my request. she is standing in the bathroom (not in the stall) and i told her to go to the bathroom, so she did. right there almost as if it was on cue. she was wearing a mini skirt with nothing but underwear underneath. pee everywhere. jocelyn and i just stared in disbelief. i suppose next time i will be more specific in my instructions.
